composition. Andy as also achieved success with his creative compositions. Most recently his composition 'Poppy Dance' originally written for world renowned trumpet soloist Mike Lovatt, for Remembrance Day. This has now been recorded by Mike and Fodens Brass Band and is due to be released later in 2018 on Mike's album 56 Degrees North.
The BBC chose three of Andy's pieces as themes for the BBC Persian TV Channel as well as being commissioned to write several short pieces for a christian teaching video featuring the Bishop of Bath & Wells. Other commissions include several pieces for both the London College of Music Electronic Keyboard Syllabus and the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, Music Medals Programme.
Andy has also recorded the entire London College of Music Electronic Keyboard Syllabus pieces and these are available on 4 CD's. Together with long time friend Tony Pegler, Andy also co-wrote the LCM Performance Guide, a book which is invaulable for those taking LCM Keyboard or Organ exams. The CD's and Guide are available from lcmmusicshop.uwl.ac.uk Other compositions include a Pie Jesu, written for his partners baptism and confirmation, and recorded by Jeanette Ager. For a Classic FM Smooth Classics Competition, Andy wrote an orchestral piece entitled Solvo Animus - which was inspired by a close friend. During Christmas 2008, Andy, together with partner Sara, wrote a Christmas song for Holy Trinity Church, Potten End. During a rehearsal in Church, Andy met, purely by chance, the new age music artist Llewellyn. As a result of this chance meeting, Andy was commissioned to write and record an album of New Age Music entitled 'Celtic Goddess' in conjunction with Paradise Music - the leading New Age Music Record Label, under the artist name - Rhiadhri. The album was released in July 2009. Andy's second album, 'Celtic Landscapes' (2013) and both are available from Paradise Music or on iTunes.
Other compositions include three other Christmas songs, Mary's Child (2009), Let's Celebrate (2010) and 'Remember the Children' (2011), a song highlighting the plight of the many starving children around the world. 'An Empty Chair' was written in 2013 after the death of both his parents. 'We Remember' was written to commemorate the 10th Anniversary of 9/11 and was featured on the BBC Radio 2 programme 'Good Morning Sunday' with Aled Jones.
Swallows House is a piece he wrote after visiting the house in the Lake District, owned by good friends Peter and Julie Griffiths. 'Living God's Love', a piece commissioned by Holy Trinity Church, Potten End for the blessing of their restored organ, is based on the Bishop of St.Albans Prayer of the same name and was recorded by the London College of Music.
'Christmas Fantasy' (2017) is a medley of three well loved Christmas Carols for Violin and Orchestra.
In July 2018 'The Picture' which was inspired by a beautiful painting based on Genesis 11.v1.8 commisioned by Holy Trinity Potten End, was first performed on July 29th with choir and small ensemble.
